INDOT Dispatches Plows As Snow Sweeps Through Region; I-65 Experiences Multiple Back Ups, Including Accident With Entrapment

The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced that plows have been dispatched to address the snow that has swept into the region.

The snow is expected to cease by the early afternoon in the region, but winds may cause drifting snow.

The department further stated that traffic has experienced a back up on I-65 northbound between State Road 28 and State Road 38 due to a crash.

As of 11 a.m.., the  department further stated that I-65 northbound and southbound are seeing backups due to a separate crash from the initial crash reported earlier. The backups are occurring between State Road 28 and State Road 47.

As of 11:30 a.m., reports were received that an accident has occurred on I-65 that involves entrapment with the individual involved not moving in Clinton County.

Drivers are instructed to exercise extreme caution when traveling through the region today and not crowd the plow.

Drivers can call 511 to review the state of the roads.
