
Lyn was a 1962 graduate of Westfield High School. In 1963, he married Betty (Fearnow) Reed. They were married for 23 years and had two children together. He later married Martha (Stroup, Moore) Brothers in 1991, and she survives.
Lyn worked at Chrysler before starting Brother’s Tool and Die in 1976. He later moved to Texas, where he started Astex Tool and Manufacturing. After retiring, he moved back to Indiana full time. While living in Texas, Lyn spent his summers volunteering at ranches in Wyoming and New Mexico. He had always wanted to be a cowboy, and he was able to live out that dream during the summer months.
Lyn is also survived by his daughter, Angela (Dennis) Freidline, and son, Tracy (Vickie) Brothers; grandchildren Joshua (Hannah) Brothers, Erica (Dan) Byrns, Emily (Ben) Kanable, Hope Brothers, Taylor Brothers, and Landon Brothers; 10 great-grandchildren; sister Lyneen (Bret) Burrow; stepchildren Greg (Deb) Moore, Cheryl (Kent) Remsen, Jeff (Susie) Moore, Cindy (Roger) Douglass, and Lisa (Kevin) Johnston; as well as several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfather, Lee Zearing.
