Keith Schneider, 60, of Lebanon, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 16, 2026. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on October 26, 1965.
Keith was a Master Carpenter by trade and his hobbies included riding his motorcycle, cooking, especially for friends and family. You could always find him visiting with friends at the Legion or the VFW. While he was out, he’d always brag about his grandkids and most people would describe him as cantankerous and hard-headed, but he never met a stranger.
He is survived by his partner, Sally Cain of 36 years; siblings, Thomas Schneider Jr, Chris Schneider, and Erica (John) Schneider Wolf; stepdaughters, Sharliena (Nicholas) Novogradac, Jessie (Kyle) Haynes, and Lora (Chris) Watts; grandchildren, Cheyenne Kelly, Tayia Davis, Chase (Olivia) Simpson, Elizabeth (Josiah) Novogradac-Koehler, Brian Davis, Alex Novogradac, Cristopher Haynes, Cash Daniels, Chloe Haynes, Cayden Daniels, and Jolean Watts.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Veronica Schneider and Thomas Schneider, and his stepdaughter Cristina Harlow.
Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the VFW, 12863 Old Meridian St, Carmel, IN 46032. Please join the family to share memories and celebrate his life. Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with his cremation.
