Wesley Manor Hosting “The Longest Day” Alzheimer’s Awareness Events in June

Wesley Manor will host a three-day community event series in June as part of “The Longest Day,” a nationwide Alzheimer’s Association initiative aimed at raising awareness and support for those affected by Alzheimer’s disease and memory loss.

The events, scheduled for June 17-19, 2026, will feature community activities, food, entertainment, and fundraising opportunities, with proceeds benefiting Wesley Manor Memory Care Units.

The week begins Wednesday, June 17, with a Coffee Cart and Bake Sale located at the Health Center Entry Way. The event is open to the public and will run from 9:00 a.m. until items are sold out.

On Thursday, June 18, Wesley Manor will host a Food and Concert Day on the Health Center lawn. Food trucks will be available from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., followed by a concert by Cole Woodruff at 2:00 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, and lawn games will be provided.

The final day of activities, Friday, June 19, will feature a Memory Care Picnic for residents and their families from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The picnic includes lunch for memory care residents and two family members, with additional family members welcome for $10 per person. RSVP is required.

Also on June 19, the Share & Care Shoppe will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and again from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., with proceeds supporting Wesley Manor’s memory care programs.

Wesley Manor officials said BHI will also make a financial donation to the Alzheimer’s Association on behalf of the facility.
