Mr. Jerry Wayne Perdue, 82, of Thorntown, Indiana, passed away Tuesday evening surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 20, 1943, in Portland, Tennessee, to the late Charlie W. and Charity M. (Whitson) Perdue and was the youngest of fourteen children.
He married Kathy (Martin) Perdue in Thorntown, and they shared 50 wonderful years together.
Jerry worked as a welder at Major Tool and Machinery in Indianapolis for many years before retiring.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother who will be forever missed by his family.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy (Martin) Perdue; five children, Tommy (Lynna) Stewart of Lebanon, Lisa (companion, Scott Disbro) Crew of Lebanon, Jason (companion, Darlynn Branhan) Brown of Reagan, Indiana Darren (Alissa) Perdue of California, and Jeff (Sue) Perdue of Sparks, Nevada; six grandchildren; brother, Alton (Shirley) Perdue of Portland, Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by twelve siblings.
Funeral Services are planned for 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the services. Interment will follow services at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Thorntown.
