Linda Sue Kincaid, 85, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Greenwood Village South in Greenwood, Indiana. She was born September 18, 1940, in Lebanon, Indiana, a daughter of the late Earl Wayne and Violet Marie (Johnson) Wynkoop.
On May 10, 1958, she married Fredrich Trosper and divorced in 1974. He had since passed away. Linda then married Edward Kincaid on October 2, 2001. They shared 20 loving years together before he passed away on September 25, 2021.
A life resident of Lebanon, Linda was a 1958 graduate of Lebanon High School. She worked for Indiana Bell Telephone and as a waitress at the Lucky Steer Restaurant in Lebanon. Linda also worked in the gift and convenience shop for Dale Luper at the Chamber of Commerce building in Indianapolis for, retiring in 2002.
She enjoyed reading, watching television, and solving crossword puzzles. Linda will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her son, Charles “Chuck” (Carla) Trosper of O’Fallon, Missouri; stepchildren, Mike (Ann) Kincaid of Lebanon, Debbi (Terry) Culley of Lebanon, Karen Redding of Illinois, Joni (Jim) Hale of Lebanon, Pat Kincaid of Lebanon, Lori Kincaid of Lebanon, Amy (Robert Edwards) Kincaid of Lebanon, Latoya Johnson, and Tyson Greene; several grandchildren, step grandchildren, and great grandchildren; and sisters, Norma (Jerry) Hawk of Boliver, Missouri and Carleene Jones of Indianapolis.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Linda was preceded in death by her grandson, Chase Lee Trosper her brother, Carl Wynkoop.
The family extends special thanks to Ellen Johnson and Amy Kincaid for the care and support they gave Linda.
Funeral Services are planned for 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial of Linda’s ashes will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon at a later date.
