Kokomo Drug Investigation Leads to Seizure of Meth, Fentanyl, Cocaine and Firearms

A months-long investigation into the alleged distribution of large quantities of illegal drugs in Kokomo has resulted in the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, THC products and firearms.

According to the Howard County Sheriff’s Office, investigators with the Howard County Sheriff’s Task Force and Kokomo Police Drug Task Force began the investigation in May 2026 into an individual suspected of distributing large amounts of illegal drugs in Kokomo.

Investigators identified the suspect as Delmar Cannon. At the conclusion of the investigation, authorities obtained search warrants for residences at 623 E. Walnut St. and 1021 E. Broadway St. in Kokomo.

On August 7, 2026, members of the Howard County SWAT Team, Howard County Sheriff’s Task Force, Kokomo Police Drug Task Force, Indiana State Police, Grant County J.E.A.N. Team and Cass County Drug Task Force executed the search warrants at both locations.

Authorities reported seizing approximately:

  • 3 pounds of suspected methamphetamine
  • 1 pound of suspected fentanyl
  • 56 grams of suspected cocaine
  • 6 pounds of THC products
  • 4 firearms

Charges Filed

Delmar Cannon was arrested and faces multiple felony charges, including:

  • Dealing in Methamphetamine — Level 2 Felony
  • Dealing in Cocaine/Narcotic Drug — Level 2 Felony
  • Dealing in Marijuana — Level 5 Felony
  • Felon in Possession of a Firearm — Level 5 Felony
  • Maintaining a Common Nuisance — Level 6 Felony

Crystal Jackson was also arrested and charged with:

  • Maintaining a Common Nuisance — Level 5 Felony

The investigation involved multiple law enforcement agencies and task forces from across the area.

All suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
