Mr. Larry Lloyd Thatcher, 79, of Avon, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Northwest Healthcare in Indianapolis. He was born January 16, 1947, in Lebanon, a son of the late Jesse M. and Elizbeth M. (Scott) Thatcher.
He married Donna G. (Trent) Thatcher on September 1, 1967, at Lebanon First Church of the Nazarene in Lebanon; she survives.
A 1965 graduate of Lebanon High School, he served honorably in the United States Army for two years. Larry worked for many years as a sales manager at Seal Products of Georgia.
In his free time, he enjoyed bowling and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Thatcher; son, Ritchie L. (Danean) Thatcher of Brownsburg; granddaughter, Ruth Elizabeth Thatcher; brothers, Dr. Russell (Carolyn) Thatcher of Floral City, Florida, Michael (Connie) Thatcher of Lebanon, and John (Nora) Thatcher of Frankfort; sister, Barbara (Wayne) Penrose of Lebanon; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services with Military Rites are planned for 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown.
