The Friends of the Thorntown Public Library have a full schedule of activities planned for September, including the return of the library’s fall book sale, a Bingo fundraiser and several programs for local families.
The Friends will host their Fall Book Sale toward the end of the month. Volunteers are needed to help with the event, and those interested can sign up at the library during their next visit.
The Friends are also preparing for their second annual Bingo Fundraiser on September 25, held in conjunction with the Festival of the Turning Leaves. The organization is still seeking additional prizes for the fundraiser. Business donors already include Beesley Automotive and Dull’s Tree Farm.
Community members or businesses interested in donating a Bingo prize valued between $15 and $25 are encouraged to contact the Friends of the Thorntown Public Library.
September will also mark the beginning of the library’s youth programming for the new season. One popular event, Breakfast & Bingo with Your Grandparents, will make its return this year, giving children and their grandparents an opportunity to enjoy breakfast and a morning of Bingo together.
The Thorntown Heritage Museum will also have several activities planned during Festival of the Turning Leaves weekend.
