Madonna Ruth Campbell, 93, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at Homewood Heath Campus in Lebanon, Indiana. She was born April 24, 1933 in Tipton; a daughter of the late Raymond J. and Nellie (Tragesser) Quellhorst.
On November 25, 1956, she married Benny Max Campbell at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Lebanon. He preceded her in death on August 4, 2019.
She graduated from Lebanon High School in 1951. Madonna was a devoted homemaker caring for her home and family throughout the years. She also worked for Western Insurance and American States Insurance for 11 years.
She was a faithful member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, where she was actively involved. Madonna cherished time with her family and enjoyed word searches and watching Lawrence Welk.
Survivors include her five children, Valerie (Jim) French of Thorntown, David (Lan) Campbell of Lebanon, Mary Myers of Lebanon, Randy (Amy) Campbell of Lebanon, and Teresa (John) Hemmerle of Lebanon; daughter-in-law, Julie (Jeff) Campbell-Toole of Lebanon; fourteen grandchildren, Clayton (Paige) Campbell, Collin Campbell, Lauren (Blade) Lasley, Caleb (Gabby)Myers, Trevor Myers, Eli Myers, Michael Hemmerle, Megan Hemmerle, Max Campbell, Alexis Vann, Maddie Campbell, Camren (Jada) Toole, Carson Toole, and Caden Toole; and three great grandchildren, Brammer Lasley, Briar Campbell, and Banks Campbell.
In addition to her parents and husband, Madonna was preceded in death by her son, Robert P. Campbell; son-in-law, Sam Myers; siblings, Bernice Cleary, Raymond Quellhorst, Delores Thoma, Martha Thrine, Mary Wiley, Jim Quellhorst, and Jeanette Padgett.
The Rosary will begin at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, October 15, 2026, with visitation from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 16, 2026, at St Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 319 East South Street, in Lebanon. Interment will follow services at St. Joseph Cemetery in Lebanon.
