Mr. Charles William “Chuck” Gibbs, 63, of Thorntown, passed away on Monday evening, July 26, 2021, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon. He was born in Lebanon on March 12, 1958; a son of Pattsy (Rance) Gibbs and the late Charles E. Gibbs.
He was a 1977 graduate of Western Boone Jr. Sr. High School. Chuck was a dedicated, long-time employee for Carson Trucking.
Chuck was a member of the NRA, and the Eagles in Lebanon. He was an avid sports fan with a special interest in NASCAR. Chuck enjoyed socializing with friends, working on model cars and tinkering in his garage.
Survivors include his mother: Pattsy Gibbs of Staunton, Indiana; two sisters, Peggy L. Gibbs of Middleburg, Florida, Kelley C. (Gibbs) Fagg of Thorntown; one niece, Adrian Mullenix of Staunton, Indiana, nephew, James Edens of Indianapolis and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at Myers and Hunt Mortuary, 116 West Plum Street, in Thorntown, Indiana, on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation is planned from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home in Thorntown. Interment will follow services at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
Memorials may be given in Chuck’s memory to the charity of the donor’s choice.
