INDOT announces construction on Phases Two and Three of the State Road 26 pavement rehabilitation project will begin on or after Wednesday, August 17. During Phases Two and Three, S.R. 26 will be closed between S.R. 75 (near Sedalia) and the Clinton/Howard County line (near Russiaville). The road will be closed to through traffic, but access will be maintained for those living along the corridor. This section of S.R. 26 is expected to reopen after the end of October, weather permitting.
The official eastbound detour follows S.R. 75 north to S.R. 218 east to S.R. 29 south to S.R. 18 east to U.S. 31 south. The official westbound detour follows U.S. 31 north to S.R. 18 west to S.R. 29 north to S.R. 218 west to S.R. 75 south.
