On Friday, April 14, detectives with the Indiana State Police Peru Post were contacted by the Miami County Department of Child Services concerning allegations of child molesting involving Daniel McNear, 29 of Peru.
Detective Jonathan Cole began an investigation that concluded yesterday with the arrest of McNear for six counts of Child Molesting, Level 1 Felony, and two counts of Child Molesting, Level 4 Felony. McNear was taken to the Miami County Jail.
