In recognition of former Zontian and world-renowned aviator Amelia Earhart, the Zonta Club of Frankfort is inviting the public to see “Amelia” at the Frankfort Community Public Library on Wednesday, January 10, at 5:30 p.m. Intermission and refreshments will be at 6:35 p.m.

Gem City Junction, 63 E. Clinton St., Frankfort, is having an Poetry Open Mic on Friday, January 12, from 6-8 p.m. The event is being emceed by the Poetry Society of Indiana.

Cover Clinton County is a project being put on the CORE Community Center in Frankfort where they are accepting donations for winter coats, hats, gloves, scarves, blankets, tarp and sleeping bags. Anybody that may need some extra cover this winter season is welcome to utilize items from the donation box. Donations can be placed in the plastic storage containers in the Community Garden at CORE. Carroll County 4-H Super Saturday will be held on Saturday, January 13 from 8:30 a.m. – 10 a.m. at the 4-H Building in Flora.  Come and enjoy free biscuits and sausage gravy breakfast sponsored by the 4-H Exhibit Board.  Donations go to the  4-H Scholarship Fund. Also on Super Saturday, 4-H’ers will be displaying their projects and clubs will have various activities.   This is a great opportunity for 4-H’ers and potential 4-H’ers to learn about the various 4-H projects and clubs. Come and bring your friends and family.

Season tickets are now available for the Friends of the Library 2024 Concert Series to be held in Skanta Theatre at the Frankfort Community Public Library. Performers will be RC Trio (March 30), Davis & Devitt (May 18) and the Boogie Woogie Kid (October 19). All concerts are on Saturday night and start at 7:30 p.m. Individual concert tickets are $12 and season tickets are $30. The Frankfort Community Public Library is having an Open Art Studio on Tuesday, January 9 from 5-7:30 p.m. and every other Tuesday from 5-7:30 p.m. Every other Tuesday, the Art Studio on the second floor is open for artists to work on their current projects. Bring your project and supplies, or use some of the library’s art supplies. This an all-ages program, However, children under the age of 8 need to be accompanied by an adult.

With the return of the Tuesday Night Inkers printmaking group, they will start out one Tuesday a month during open art studio. They will then evaluate based off of participation if they need to meet more often.

During this Intro to Block Printing class, individuals will be learn the basics of block printing and making a small print that you can take home with you. This class is also serving as a callout for any patrons interested in becoming part of the Tuesday Night Inkers. Group will meet from 5-7:30 p.m. during open studio time.

The Friends of the Rossville Library Book Sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, January 26 in the meeting room of the Rossville Library. Items for sale include both withdrawn and donated items.

The Tween/Teen STEM: 3D Printing Workshop will be held Tuesday, January 23, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Frankfort Community Public Library. This free event is open to grades 5-12.
