Betty Lee Brown, 101, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon, Indiana. She was born in Boone County, Indiana, on November 11, 1921, a daughter of the late Randall E. and Grace (Worrell) Brown.
On December 4, 1943, she was united in marriage to Louis Victor Brown in Lebanon. He passed away on November 14, 1994.
She was a 1939 graduate of Lebanon High School and attained her nursing license from Paris School of Nursing in Paris, Illinois in 1942. She worked as an RN in Lebanon for over 34 years. After retirement, she and Victor spent six months of the year in Tucson, Arizona where she enjoyed hiking, playing cards, swimming, and knitting.
Betty was a longtime member of Central Christian Church where she served as elder and deaconess.
Survivors include two sons, Lee (Chris) Brown of Lebanon and Brent (Becky) Brown of Ocala, Florida; daughter-in-law: Marilyn Brown of Bloomington; six grandchildren, Adam Brown of Wisconsin, Ruth (Matt) Wilson of Michigan, Matt (Elise) Brown of Lebanon, Kyle (Joanna) Brown of Fishers, Joe (Maria) Brown of Oldsmar, Florida, and Sam (Erin) Brown of Westfield; and ten great grandchildren, Tyler, Caleb, Victor, Elisa, Harper, Caroline, Cooper, Alex, Eve, and Claire.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Betty was preceded in death by her oldest son, Randy Gene Brown.
Funeral Services are planned for 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Entombment will follow at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown.
