Mrs. Susie Ellen Hedges, 87, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon, Indiana. She was born September 27, 1935, in London, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Leander and Nellie (Johnson) Lewis.
On December 19, 1953, she was united in marriage to James Edward Hedges in Whitestown, Indiana. He passed away on April 11, 2014.
Her life was centered around her family as she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Susie was a meticulous housekeeper and cleaned for many residents in Lebanon through the years. She enjoyed playing Bingo and Euchre.
Survivors include two children, Ted E. Hedges and Sandra B. Woodall both of Lebanon; seven grandchildren, Zach (Marissa) Woodall, Jake Woodall, Aaron (Amber) Hedges, Joshua (Laura) Hedges, Sawyer Mason, Nick (Cassia) Mason, and Spencer (Lisa) Mason; and seven great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Susie was preceded in death by three sisters and eight brothers.
Funeral Services are planned for 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will follow at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown.
