Timothy Mark Howell

Timothy Mark Howell was born March 23, 1964 in Stockton, CA to Oscar Melvin and Alice May (Wilson) Howell.

In late 1972, the family relocated to Lebanon, IN. Tim was very interested in Radio & TV during high school. He loved setting up the sound machine for the dances after the football and basketball games. He continued that interest at church where he would be responsible for the sound system during the church services.

Tim enjoyed cooking. He was known as the “omelet man” at the Holiday Inn, preparing a wide variety of omelets for the guests. He also liked working at Titus Bakery, liking it so much that he worked there in the 90s and again after his marriage to Sandy, making donuts for all of Lebanon.
Tim was married to Sandra Anderson on April 23, 2005. Tim and Sandy loved to attend various fairs/festivals around Indiana. They had two special trips that they remembered fondly; 1) going to Hershey, PA to tour Hershey’s Chocolate World along with visiting Gravity Hill where your car appears to roll uphill if you put it in neutral and 2) visiting family in Florida. Tim and Sandy enjoyed 13 years together before Sandy’s passing in 2018.

Tim loved being involved at church. He was game leader in Awana for several years. He loved planning various games for the kids and was very adept at getting all the children to participate in the games with much excitement.

Tim loved the title “Uncle Tim”. He loved his nieces and nephews. He had a special bond with his nephew, Ben. During Ben’s younger years, Tim had a Disney Sing-Along VHS tape which he sang at the top of his lungs. His voice mail message for several years began with “This is Uncle Tim!” He also loved planting and taking care of flowers with Steve Jarnagin at Grace Baptist.

Tim was preceded in death by his dear mother, Alice Howell; stepmother, Marilyn “Pat” Howell; wife, Sandy (Anderson) Howell; and brother, Daniel Melvin Howell. They are certainly rejoicing in Heaven at their reunion.

He is survived by his Dad, Oscar Howell; his siblings, Cris (Mitch) Jester and Steve (Debbie) Howell; his sister-in-law, Nancy Howell; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a Celebration of Life Ceremony Saturday, August 5 at 2:00 p.m. at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Lebanon, IN.
