CORE Community Center Receives Grant From Local Wal-Mart Store

CORE Community Center has announced it is a recent recipient of a $1,000 grant from our local Wal-Mart store.
This grant was received to put toward the new CORE Enrichment Program that kicks off this fall. CORE recently chose to move forward with this plan after noticing an increase in students staying at their schools for before and after care. Instead of no longer serving this important group of youth in the community, CORE evolved alongside Boys & Girls Club to create programming that will allow these students to involve themselves in programs where they can learn and grow.
Starting this fall, CORE will begin providing classes such as Cooking Club, Swim Club, Pokemon Club, Photography Club, Art Club, Comic Book Club, Drama Club, Sewing/Knitting/Crocheting Club, and STEM Club. They are actively seeking volunteers to lead these clubs for 6 – 8 week sessions once weekly. Transportation for all students will be provided to and from their individual school locations to ensure parents can pick them up conveniently.
Parents can sign up at CORE, through the Boys & Girls Club, or through the Clinton Central Bulldog Club Coordinators.
Programs will vary from $20-40 per month depending on the program, unless you are a Clinton Central student. Those students will be able to participate for free as this program is an official partner of the Clinton Central Bulldog Club.
If you are interested in learning more about how you might give or support ongoing needs at CORE, please call us at 765.654.9622.
If you are not a member of CORE and would like to learn more about all of the services and programs they offer for your family, please give them a call at 765.654.9622 or feel free to stop in during business hours: Monday – Friday from 5 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Welcome Center staff is ready to help you choose a membership or sign up for our community programs.
