Mrs. Louise May Abbitt, 88, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at her home in Whitestown, Indiana. She was born on January 22, 1935, in Lebanon, a daughter of the late Nye Dye and Arthelma (Parr) Dye.
On November 23, 1956, she was married to Paul Meredith Abbitt in Lebanon, Indiana. He preceded her in death just ten days ago.
Louise was a graduate of Lebanon High School. She worked in the cafeteria at the Zionsville schools for many years.
She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, solving word search puzzles, and reading in her free time. Louise was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her daughter, Lillian R. Easter of Whitestown; grandchildren, Abigail H. (Jacob) Pettit of Frankfort and Bryce C. Easter of Whitestown; a great grandchild, Darci Pettit; identical twin sister, Lois (Robert) Hulley of Zionsville; and niece, Angie Hulley of California.
In addition to her parents and her beloved husband, Louise was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Jess Brockway; brother, Arthur Dye; and sister, Margeret Higgins.
Funeral Services are planned for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Mts. Runn Baptist Church, 250 South 775 East, in Zionsville, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 12 noon until the time of services. Interment will follow at Mts. Runn Baptist Cemetery in Zionsville. Myers Mortuary has been entrusted with her care.
