James Woodrow Mikesell, 82, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at his home in Lebanon. He was born in Crawfordsville on March 12, 1941, a son of the late Charles Mikesell and Martha (Cox) Mikesell.
On May 8, 1993, he was married to Gloria Jean Mikesell in Lebanon, she proceeded him in death on January 27, 2015.
James previously resided in Shannondale, Thorntown, and he has resided in Lebanon since 1954.
He had worked most of his life around Lebanon including working in a factory and for the past 22 years he worked for Lau Blower.
James enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all.
James is survived by his three children, Jim (Stacey) Mikesell of Rochester, Travis Mikesell of Indianapolis, and Rose McNeely of Florida; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; three brothers, Lester (Melody) Mikesell of Anderson, and Jack Mikesell of Lebanon; and one sister, Betty Burruss of Danville.
In addition to his parents and wife, Gloria, James was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Mikesell, John Mikesell.
Funeral Services are planned for 12:00 noon Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will follow at Browns Wonder Cemetery in Lebanon.
