A new adoption and resource center has officially celebrated its ribbon cutting ceremony and grand opening in Lebanon with an outlook to help animals in the Boone County area.
Chicken Nugget and Gang Adoption and Resource Center opened its doors for a soft launch after its ribbon cutting on Thursday, March 28 at 117 W. Elm St. in Lebanon with the morro of “Be Nugget Kind.”
At Chicken Nugget and Gang, its motto is defined as “spreading kindness without expecting anything from anyone else. It’s a selfless kindness.”
The rescue holds itself apart from traditional rescues as the staff does not limit themselves to be a traditional rescue, and the majority of animals that the business are small, exotic animals that are different than the typical animals that the Humane Society is not able to take in at the time.
A small portion of the sanctuary animals are permanent residents that the staff has determined has either been through too much trauma to adopt out or are too old to enter a new living space.
The organization may also take in litters of puppies and kittens on occassion if the factors align for the sanctuary to be able to house the animals.
The organization may also assist with veterinary bills, pet food and other unexpected costs that may arise for pet owners, but the organization stated that the staff is not limited to pet-related assistance, and the organization strives to be a support system for the entire community, including teaming up with other rescues and shelters to provide the resources necessary for the animals of the region to thrive.
Chicken Nugget and Gang provides the ability to donate, volunteer and foster or adopt animals.
