We are thrilled to welcome Jennifer Miller as the new principal of Frankfort High School! An alumna of FHS class of 1995, Miller brings a wealth of experience and a deep connection to the community. She holds degrees from both Purdue University and Indiana Wesleyan University, and she is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at Purdue. Miller, who enjoys spending time outdoors, playing the piano, and engaging in sports like golf and tennis, is excited to return to her roots in Frankfort. “Returning to Frankfort High School is both a personal and professional milestone,” she shared. “I have vivid memories of my own experiences here—moments of growth, learning, and camaraderie that I cherish deeply.”
Miller’s path to education was inspired by her high school English teacher, Ms. Annie Buser, and golf coach, Mrs. Connie Timmons, who played pivotal roles in shaping her career aspirations. She began her career as an English teacher and tennis coach at McCutcheon, later serving as an assistant principal and principal at Twin Lakes, where she earned several accolades, including the IASP District IV Principal of the Year. Miller’s dedication to student success and teacher development has been a consistent theme throughout her career. “The right teacher can be a transformative force, shaping our students’ attitudes towards learning, their academic achievements, and their future aspirations. A great teacher’s influence extends far beyond the classroom,” she emphasized.
As she steps into her new role, Miller is most excited about expanding opportunities for FHS students. She aims to expand dual credit programs, enabling students to earn up to two years of college credits while still in high school. Miller is committed to fostering a supportive and safe environment, strengthening community ties, and ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed. “We are all in this together for a better future,” she stated. “It is through our work together that we can build on our successes and can foster a safe, nurturing, and dynamic environment that prepares our students for a bright future.”
