Art By The Tracks Kicks Off Thursday, Aug. 22; RSVPs Due Today, Aug. 20 With Walk-Ins Welcome

The Flora Depot Railroad and Local History Museum is hosting its Art by the Tracks event this Thursday, Aug. 22 for community members to create their own masterpieces and bond with others in the community.

The class will be held at the Flora Depot at 104 W. Main St. in Flora from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Aug. 22 where community members will be able to create their own take-home art piece that incorporates the Depot and Flora. The class will be led by artist Nicole Ingalls.

The cost for the event is $20, and children 12-years-old and younger will be admitted for only $5. The fee will allow for the artists to utilize markers, crayons and colored pencils for their project. Art supplies and refreshments will be provided.

Walk-ins are welcome for the event, but organizers requested attendees to reserve their spot to ensure that enough supplies and refreshments are provided. Reservations may be acquired by texting 765-437-7104 or emailing [email protected].

Payment of cash or check will be due at the event.
