The Boone County Sheriff’s Office has announced its upcoming 2025 Principles of the Defense Handgun training dates that could act as Christmas gifts for the holiday season.
The department stated that the classes are the “perfect gift for a loved one, or maybe even yourself, to gain experience and knowledge in gun handling, marksmanship and most importantly mindset.”
The courses are 16-hour courses held over two days at the Boone County Sheriff Firearms Range in Lebanon. The department stated that every class in 2024 was full with a waiting list and encouraged community members to sign up early.
2025 Principles of the Defensive Handgun Dates:
- April 26-27: co-ed
- May 31-June 1: ladies only
- June 21-22: co-ed
- July 26-27: ladies only
- Aug. 23-24: co-ed
