Ginger Jeanette Gregory, 60, of Thorntown, passed away on November 24, 2023 in her home. She was born on September 15, 1963 in Frankfort to Melvin and Mary Ann (Ruckel) Hanna. She married Mark A. Gregory on March 11, 2006 in Lebanon and he survives.
Ginger was a 1982 graduate of Western Boone High School and Managed two McDonald’s Restaurants in Lebanon for several years. She was a member of the Zion Apostolic Church in Frankfort. Ginger loved country living and working outside with her flowers. She enjoyed attending festivals and antiquing. She loved playing piano and enjoyed country music. Her biggest joy was spending time with her daughter, grandson, and her dog.

ass on June 21, 1947 in Centralia, Illinois and she preceded him in death on June 17 2007.
James was a 1945 graduate of Kirklin High School. He worked for Nickel Plate Norfolk & Western railroad as a switchman for 37 ½ years, retiring on August 8, 1988. James was a member of the Scotland Christian Church, AARP-UTU and the John Purdue Club. During his younger years, he was very involved with youth baseball. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and loved to travel.
James is survived by his sons: Gregory J. (Kathy) Douglass of W. Lafayette, Craig A. (Deborah) Douglass of Frankfort, brother: J. Wesley Douglass of Fort Wayne, 5 grandchildren: Chad (Brenda) Douglass, Andrea (Gary) Drew, Allison (Derrick) Ridenour, Amy (Ron) Huelskamp and Joshua (Melissa) Douglass, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great-grandson. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Megan Douglass and a brother, Dick Douglass.

Maximino Luis Hernandez, 77, of Frankfort, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at IU Health Arnett in Lafayette. He was born in Asuncion Ocotlan de Morelos, Oaxaca, Mexico on May 29, 1943 to Fidel Luis and Delfina Hernandez Aguilar. He married Margarita Antonio Ramirez in Asuncion, Oaxaca, Mexico; she survives.
Maximino had resided in Mexico, California, Oregon, and Florida before moving to Frankfort. He worked for Tyson Foods. He enjoyed drawing, fishing, hunting, and farming.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Sirano Luis Antonio, Felipe Luis Antonio, Maximino Luis Antonio, and Fidel Luis Antonio; daughters, Ines Luis (Carlos Venegas), Agustina Luis (Tereso Sanchez), Rufina Luis (Francisco Munoz), Cristina Luis (Miguel Flores), Margarita Luis, and Xochitl Luis; sisters, Cresencia Luis Hernandez, Elena Luis Hernandez, and Fidela Luis Hernandez; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Rene Luis Antonio, and infant son; and three sisters, Cresencia Luis Hernandez, Elena Luis Hernandez, and Fidela Luis Hernandez.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 9 a.m. until the start of the funeral mass at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Frankfort. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery, Frankfort.

Starr Ann Payne, 62, of Frankfort, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. She was born in Rochester on September 12, 1958 to Joseph and Beulah (Satterfield) Lanum. She married Timothy Payne on February 14, 1996; he survives.
Starr graduated from Clinton Prairie High School in 1976. She worked for Clinton House before retiring from Frito Lay after 35 years of employment. She was a member of Lebanon Christian Church. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Starr wanted everyone to know the following, “Some people are born by accident, but my parents looked for me. I have gone home after a very blessed life full of love with my children and grandchildren.”
Surviving with her husband, Tim, are her daughters, Anne (husband, Brian) Britt and Nicole Lanum, both of Frankfort, and Danee’ (husband, DJ) Graic of Tucson, Arizona; sister, Crystal Lanum of Gas City; and grandchildren, Xavier, Jazlyn, Liam, and Luka.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Chris Lanum; and sister, Jewell Pountney.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 7, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. A private funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, February 8, 2021 at the funeral home with Pastor Craig Howie officiating. Mercedes L. Ferguson, 82, of Colfax, passed away February 3, 2021 in her home. She was born on October 20, 1938 in Sanlucar, Spain to Jose Lopez Constanial and Rosario Lopez Montanio. She married Howard L. “Buck” Ferguson on February 10, 1960 in Spain and he preceded her in death on July 31, 2012.
Mercedes was a Homemaker and had also worked for Miller’s Restaurant and at Shoestring Corp. She was a member and past President of the American Legion Auxiliary.

(Lucia) Ferguson Jr. of Fishers and Robert “Bobby” (Mark) Ferguson-Arvin of Indianapolis; 14 Grandchildren: Nathan (Alisha) Pritchard, Nicole (Jason) Flynn, Chelsi Johnson, Duston Gleason (Carrie Gabel), Shana Ferguson, Natasha (Chad) Chapman, Breona (Killian) O’Brien, Tori (Aaron) Cooper, Nikki Mckinzie, Jessica Pal, Maria (Bill) Higer, Amanda (Kyle) Roberts, Megan (Chad) Myers, Howard (Brittany) Black; and 24 Great-Grandchildren. Maryann Weber Lewis, 81, of Delphi, IN, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 1, 2021 at the home of her son. She was born in Gary, on July 2, 1939, to John and Mary (Hatrak) Bobrik.
Maryann graduated from Hobart High School in 1957. She had worked for Seaburg Welch Auto Supply, the Hobart Gazette and retired in 2007 from the Fifth Third Bank in Hobart. Maryann moved from Lake Station to Delphi in 2011 where she was a resident of Carroll Manor. She was a member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church in Merrillville. She later attended mass at St. Joseph Church in Delphi. Maryann enjoyed walking and playing Bingo.
Maryann is survived by sons, Frank Weber of Michigan City and Joseph (Michelle) Weber of Rossville; granddaughters, Allison Weber (fiancé, Alex) and Chloe Weber.
A private family service will be held.

Donald Dean Black, 81, of Frankfort passed away on February 2, 2021 at IU Heath Arnett Frankfort Hospital. He was born on October 31, 1939 in Coles County, Illinois to Leebert and Nella (Hill) Black. He married Marilyn K. Benjamin on July 7, 1962 and she survives.
Donald was a lifelong Clinton County resident and attended Frankfort Schools. He had worked for Ingram-Richardson, General Battery in Frankfort and worked for Clinton County Highway Department, driving a truck and snowplow along with working on the roads. He enjoyed westerns and tinkering in his garage, but his kids, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were his life.
Surviving along with his wife: Marilyn are his Daughters: Marie (Kevin) Ploughe of Mulberry and Mari Sue (Austin) LaDow of Tennessee; Granddaughters: Kacy Black (Junior Perez), Samantha Black, Jennifer Lashbrook (Richard Everman), and Elizabeth Koors; 7 Great-Grandchildren; Sister: Edith Heaton of Frankfort; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and 7 siblings: Charles Black, Russell Black, Eva Fritts, Erma Baughman, Eunice Titus, Paul Black, Evelyn Black.

]]>Cliston S. Ricker, 64, of Michigantown, died February 2, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo, Ind. She was born on July 22, 1956 in Pennington Gap, Virginia to Claude and Mary Louise (Minton) Shackelford. She married Chris R. Ricker on September 19, 1995 and he survives.
Cliston was a 1974 graduate of Southwestern High School and attended Purdue University. Prior to living in Michigantown, she had lived in Lafayette and Frankfort. She worked for St. Vincent Hospitals in Indianapolis, Carmel, and Lafayette as a Hospital Scheduler. She was a former member of Schuyler Avenue Wesleyan Church. Cliston enjoyed sewing and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving along with her husband: Chris and her mother: Mary Louise are her Daughters: Angela (Erik) Hulstrom of Brentwood, CA, Jayne (Brent) Flatt of Carmel, Rhea (Nicole) Ricker of Indianapolis, and Rachel (Hannah) Ricker of Goldsmith; and Grandchildren: Danika and Aidan Hulstrom, Jackson and Adelynn Flatt, and Thatcher and Jack Ricker.
