Barbara Elouise McNutt, 86, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon, Indiana. She was born in Nova, Ohio, on January 4, 1937, the daughter of the late Leroy and Lois (Fast) Fox.
She was formerly married to Robert H. McNutt, they divorced.
Raised in Nova, Ohio, Barbara was a graduate of Ruggles–Troy High School. She had worked for Aeronca Corporation in Middletown, Ohio where she achieved her private pilot’s license. She moved to Rochester, Indiana and was employed with Fulton County Airport and Torin Manufacturing for many years. Barbara moved to Lebanon, Indiana in 1994 to be closer to her grandchildren. She worked for Duke Properties of Indianapolis. Barbara retired and moved in with her son for health reasons.
She was a faithful member of New Life Christian Church, both of Rochester, Indiana and Lizton, Indiana. She loved her church families in addition to her own. Barbara was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed baking and was thrilled to share her treats with her family.
Survivors include her son, Michael R. (Jacquelyn) McNutt of Lebanon; grandsons, Ryan McNutt of Indianapolis and Stephen (Breh) McNutt of Lebanon; and great grandchildren, Conner Meredith, Abigail McNutt, and Lillian McNutt.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Fox, Robert Fox, and Edward Fox, Sr.
Memorial Services are planned for 4:00 p.m., on Friday, April 21, 2023, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services. Boone County Crematory has been entrusted with her cremation arrangements.
