Delores B. Darnell, 92, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Aspen Trace in Greenwood, Indiana. She was born June 27, 1934, in Lebanon, a daughter of the late Thomas and Dolly (Board) Dodson.
She married Jack O. Pipes and later divorced. Delores later married Arthur Darnell and he preceded her in death in 1997.
Delores was a graduate of Whitestown High School. She worked for 30 years as a bank employee with AFNB (Chase Bank).
Delores attended Lebanon Wesleyan Church. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her loved ones.
Survivors include her son, Michael D. (Joy) Pipes of Greenwood; grandchildren, Hannah Pipes and Thomas “Gunner” Pipes both of Greenwood; great grandson, Zeke Lewis; and brother-in-law, David McKinzie.
In addition to her parents and husband, Delores was preceded in death by her siblings, Bill (Sue) Dodson and Sandra McKinzie.
Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2026, at Oak Hill Cemetery, 935 East Washington Street, in Lebanon. Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with her arrangements.
