Indiana Beach Celebrates 100 Years with Four Days of Family Fun and Historic Memories

MONTICELLO, Ind. — A century of thrills, traditions, and unforgettable summer memories will be celebrated as Indiana Beach marks its 100th anniversary with a spectacular four-day celebration from June 18-21.

For generations, Indiana families and visitors from across the Midwest have gathered along the shores of Lake Shafer to experience roller coasters, boardwalk attractions, Fascination games, Pronto Pups, fireworks, and countless family traditions. Now, one of America’s most beloved amusement destinations is inviting guests to be part of its biggest milestone yet.

The 100th Anniversary Celebration Weekend will feature special entertainment, family activities, live music, character appearances, contests, fireworks, and anniversary surprises designed to honor Indiana Beach’s rich history while creating new memories for future generations.

Thursday: The Official Birthday Party

The celebration begins Thursday, June 18, with Indiana Beach’s official 100th birthday festivities.

Guests can join owner Gene Staples and Monticello Mayor Aaron Sims for a special birthday celebration and cake cutting at 12:30 p.m. in the Indiana Beach Ballroom. The first 100 guests attending the ceremony will receive a commemorative swag bag.

Additional Thursday highlights include:

  • Live music from Bob Heckler on the Boardwalk Stage
  • Stilt walker and balloon artist performances
  • Meet-and-greets with IB Crow, Rocky Raccoon, and Cornball Jones
  • A spectacular fireworks display over Lake Shafer at 10 p.m.

In honor of the year Indiana Beach first opened, Thursday admission will be available for just $19.26.

Friday: Summer Nights at Indiana Beach

Friday brings a lineup of family-friendly entertainment throughout the park.

Visitors can enjoy:

  • Nick Green performing live on the Boardwalk Stage
  • A stilt walker and balloon artist entertaining guests along the boardwalk
  • Character meet-and-greets with IB Crow, Rocky Raccoon, and Cornball Jones
  • Karaoke with KJ Henna Rae at the Sky Bar

Saturday: Magic, Ghostbusters, and Live Music

Saturday’s festivities combine mystery, music, and fan-favorite attractions.

Guests can experience:

  • Magic and mind-reading performances by Rodney Gambrel
  • Special appearances by the Circle City Ghostbusters on the Boardwalk
  • Character meet-and-greets throughout the day
  • Live music from Mike Almon at the Sky Bar

Sunday: Father’s Day and Family Traditions

The anniversary celebration concludes on Father’s Day with activities focused on family fun and longstanding Indiana Beach traditions.

Special events include:

  • Dad’s Day Out promotion featuring four guests for $100 and additional guests for $20
  • A Fascination Tournament
  • Live music from Bob Heckler

  • The return of the legendary Pronto Pup Eating Contest
