Indiana Sheriffs’ Association Scholarship Applications Open; Applications Due April 1

The Indiana Sheriffs’ Association has announced the opening of its scholarship for community members interested in law enforcement careers that will be due on April 1.

The organization announced that those planning to pursue a career in law enforcement may apply for the scholarship, which stands as an excellent opportunity for high school seniors or college students aiming to major in criminal justice or similar degrees.

Approximately 40 scholarships will be awarded across the state in the value of $750 each. Applicants must be an Indiana resident, a current member of the Indiana Sheriffs’ Association or a dependent child or grandchild of a member, planning to attend an Indiana college or university to major in a law enforcement field and enrolling as a full-time student with 12 credit hours or more.

Application paperwork may be received at the local Sheriff’s Office or from school counselors.

Applications may also be downloaded from the Indiana Sheriffs’ Association website at indianasheriffs.org.

All applications must be submitted by April 1.
