Janice Rose Jarnagin, 68, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, Indiana. She was born in Noblesville on April 6, 1958, a daughter of Mary Catherine (Redd) McMahan and the late Kenneth Joe McMahan.
Janice graduated from Noblesville High School in 1976 and earned a bachelor’s degree from Ball State University in 1980 in Elementary Education.
On July 26, 1980, she married Steven R. Jarnagin in Muncie. He preceded her in death on August 8, 1999.
Janice worked serving children up to the age of five with disabilities through several local private organizations, including Janus Developmental Services, Ability Services, and Main Street Enterprises. In August 1993, she began working at Village Pantry and also held positions at Kroger and the White Castle factory in Lebanon.
In her free time, she enjoyed needlepoint cross stitch quilting, diamond art, watching Star-Trek, and going on vacation.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Catherine McMahan of Noblesville; three children, LaTisha Renee (Angelo) Ignacio of Lebanon, Brittany Michelle Jarnagin of Muncie, and Kenneth Edwin Jarnagin of Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Devon Wilson, Ryne Wilson, Mailea Ignacio, and Elijah Brummett; sisters, Judy May Carson of Carmel and Laurie Jean (Imanuel) Keeton of Hammond; and niece, Kristina (Josh) Lee.
Funeral Services are planned for 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow services at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown.
