Lois Buntin

Lois Irene Buntin, 94, passed away Monday, August 8, 2022, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, Indiana.  She was born on September 9, 1927, in Washington Township, Boone County a daughter of the late Gladys (Bever) Bramblett Dale and Edward L. Bramblett.

After graduation from Lebanon High School in 1945, she worked for the law firm of Parr, Parr & Parr. She graduated from Indiana Central Business College and continued her education by taking classes at Purdue University and IUPUI and management courses at Ivy Tech.  Lois retired from Commercial Filters Division of Parker-Hannifin Corporation as the Human Resource Manager in 1990 after 27 years of service.

She was happily married to William R. Buntin for 48 years before his death in 1995.  They had one daughter, Paula Jo (Buntin) Acton who is married to H. Kenneth Acton.

Her grandsons are, Aaron Buntin Acton (Kate Gladson) of Denver, Colorado and Evan Kenneth Acton and wife Jessika of Indianapolis, Indiana.  They were her pride and joy!

Lois was very active with community activities and organizations:  Psi Iota XI Sorority, Symphony at Sunset, Friends of the Library, Economic Development Committee, Jail Ministry program and CFD Retiree Meetings.

She was long time member of Centenary United Methodist Church where she served on numerous committees and sang in the choir for 70 years. Lois was a genuinely kind lady and was devoted to her family. Lois loved to travel after retirement.

In addition to her parents and husband, Lois was preceded in death by siblings and spouses, Gene Bramblett (Pat Bramblett), Vivian Turner (Bryron Turner), Edward D. Bramblett (Suzanne Bramblett) and Joan Hinton (Jim Hinton)

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 15th 2022 at 1:30p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St.  Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation is planned for Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home in Lebanon. Interment will follow services at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana.
