Marletta J. (Miller) Gascho

Marletta J. Gascho, 72, of Battle Ground, formerly of Camden, passed away Monday, September 14, 2026, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.  She was born March 10, 1954, in Cleveland, Ohio to Paul Miller and Eula (Kuns) Miller-Bowser- Flora.  She married James E. Gascho on March 6, 1976.  He preceded her in passing May 19, 2019.

Marletta was a graduate Arcanum High School in 1972.  She earned her nursing practicum license and worked as a nurse for a few years before becoming a mother and stayed home to care for her family.  After her family grew up, she worked for Purdue University in food services 15 years before retiring.  She attended Victory in Christ Fellowship in Flora.  Marletta had a strong faith in her Lord and would spend a lot of time reading the word.  She enjoyed cooking, watching the Food Network and gardening in her younger years.  She was a humble woman that loved caring for her family and making memories with them, especially her grandsons sharing in their favorite memories of  “Chick-fil-a Fridays.”

Marletta is survived by her daughters, Krista (Mo) Benbouali of Lafayette and Kenlyn (Joshua) Cadwallader of Lafayette; siblings, Marilyn (Rick) Kingery, Myrna (Mike) Eikenberry, and twin brothers Maurice (Gail) Miller and Michael (Rachel) Miller; two grandsons, Jaxson and Rutledge Cadwallader; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be Friday, September 18, 2026, from 10am until the time of the service at 1pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home ~ Bodine Chapel. Pastor Larry Miller will officiate.
