National Day of Prayer for Howard County Will Be Thursday, May 2

On Thursday, May 2 beginning at noon, people will gather on the east side of the Howard County Courthouse to pray as part of the larger National Day of Prayer celebration. Prayers will be offered for our government, families, schools, local businesses, people struggling with addictions, first responders, churches, and more. One Church will lead everyone in a time of worship as well.

Everyone is invited to come, but seating will be limited. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs. The whole event should last roughly an hour.

Kathy Brazell, President of NDOP Task Force, wrote the following for this year’s National Day of Prayer: “Light dispels darkness. So we commit to rise, shine, and bring the light to our world!”
