Whitestown Police Reporting One Died in Thursday Crash

The Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department has determined that one of the passengers in Thursday’s accident at State Road 267 and Indianapolis Road has died. He was identified as 50-year-old Nyab Ksor of Indianapolis. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other four occupants of the passenger vehicle are still being treated at an Indianapolis hospital for moderate to severe injuries sustained during the crash. Their information will be released at a later time.

At approximately 5:19 p.m. Thursday, Whitestown Metropolitan Police Officers, Boone County Sheriff’s Deputies, and multiple Boone County Fire/EMS agencies were dispatched to a vehicle collision with injury involving a semi-truck and a passenger car at the intersection of SR 267 and Indianapolis Road.

Law enforcement and Fire/EMS personnel arrived at the scene and immediately began treating five occupants of the passenger car and one occupant of the semi-truck for injuries.

It was determined that the semi-truck was heading southbound on SR 267 and the passenger car was headed eastbound on Indianapolis Road.

Due to the severity of several injuries, the Boone County Fatal Alcohol Crash team is completing an investigation of the accident. Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor at this time.
