Teresa Ann Duke

Teresa Ann Duke, 56, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at her home in New Ross, Indiana. She was born June 7, 1967, in Rapid City, South Dakota, a daughter of Linda (Eder) Zollars and the late Terry L. O’Neill.

On June 21, 1985, she was united in marriage to James D. Duke in Indianapolis; he survives.
Teresa was a 1985 graduate of Plainfield High School. She worked in HR/Payroll for Indianapolis Fruit for several years.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Teresa loved her family with her whole heart. She loved feeding and watching the birds. She enjoyed crafting, crosswords, puzzles, tending to her vegetable garden, and canning. Teresa held memberships with St. Bernard Catholic Church in Crawfordsville, Eastern Star of Brownsburg, and was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lebanon.

Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Jimmy Duke; two sons, James Brandon Duke of Louisville, KY and Jeremy Daniel (Ashley) Duke of Crawfordsville; six grandchildren, Jackson, Nora, Georgia, Avari, Junior, and Zaidyn; mother, Linda Zollars of Indianapolis; brothers, Joe (Danielle) O’Neill of Camby and David (Jennifer) O’Neill of Indianapolis; stepmother, Jeannie O’Neill of Indianapolis; stepbrother, Jerry Mullis of Rockville; stepsisters, Debbie Riggs of Indianapolis and Rhonda (Tom) Jones of Indianapolis; and sister-in-law: Pat Mullis of Southport.

In addition to her father, Teresa was preceded in death by her daughter, Natalie Lynn Duke, sister, Stacie Lawver, and niece, Kelsey Hughes.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2024, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon. A Funeral Mass is planned for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 1306 East Main Street, in Crawfordsville. Interment will follow services St. Joseph Cemetery in Lebanon.

Memorials may be directed in Teresa’s memory to the medical fund set up by her family. All proceeds will be donated to a charity of the family’s choosing after the funeral.
