The Town of Zionsville and the Boone County Economic Development Corporation (Boone EDC) have announced that Willoughby Industries, a fourth-generation, family-owned Indiana manufacturer, plans to expand its operations with a new corporate headquarters and advanced manufacturing facility in Boone County.
The proposed project represents a $10 million capital investment and is expected to strengthen Boone County’s position as a destination for advanced manufacturing and corporate investment.
As part of the expansion, Willoughby Industries plans to purchase the 105,000-square-foot facility at 6100 W. 96th Street in Zionsville.
Approximately 35,000 square feet of the facility will be used for the company’s new corporate headquarters, while the remaining 70,000 square feet will support light manufacturing and assembly operations.
Founded in Indiana in 1947, Willoughby Industries manufactures durable stainless steel and solid-surface plumbing fixtures and accessories for healthcare organizations, behavioral healthcare facilities, educational institutions, recreation centers, correctional facilities and commercial buildings.
The company also develops electronic water management systems designed to help customers improve operational efficiency, conserve water and centrally monitor plumbing systems.
Willoughby’s products are manufactured in Indiana and distributed worldwide through a network of independent manufacturers’ representatives and contractors.

More Than 100 New Jobs Planned
Willoughby Industries plans to retain more than 200 existing Indiana jobs while creating more than 100 new full-time positions in Boone County over the coming years.
Salaried positions are projected to average approximately $34 per hour.

The expansion will bring Willoughby’s corporate leadership and manufacturing operations together at the new Zionsville location while expanding the company’s Indiana workforce.
