Two Men Arrested In Kokomo On Dealing Methamphetamine Warrants; Additional Illegal Substances Found At Residence

The execution of search warrants on two men in Kokomo led to their arrest and the discovery of methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana and other illegal substances.

On Jan. 16, just after 1 p.m., detectives with the Wabash County Drug Task Force, Kokomo Police Department Drug Task Force officers, Kokomo Police Department’s “A” Watch Patrol and Kokomo Police Department K-9 Units reportedly arrested Larry Hellyer and Joshua Belzer in the 600 block of South Main Street in Kokomo due to active warrants issued for previous drug-related charges.

Hellyer was wanted on an active warrant out of Wabash County for three counts of dealing methamphetamine, four counts of dealing a controlled substance, two counts of dealing marijuana and one count of unlawful sale of a legend drug. Belzer was wanted on an active warrant out of Wabash County for four counts of dealing methamphetamine.

Officers reported that a search warrant was later executed at Hellyer’s residence in the 1000 block of East Alto Street by the Kokomo Police Department, and officers allegedly located suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, controlled substances, psilocybin mushrooms, digital scales, packaging materials commonly used to distribute illegal narcotics, multiple firearms, body armor and thousands of dollars of United States currency. Detectives were reportedly assisted in the execution of the search warrant by officers with the Kokomo Police Department’s “B” and “C” Watch Patrol.
