Watershed Program Stakeholders Listening Session Scheduled for Kirklin August 25

If you live, farm, work, or own property in the Brown’s Wonder-Sugar Creek Watershed, the Clinton County Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) and partnering organizations invite you to our Stakeholder Listening Session at the Kirklin Community Center on August 25.

SWCD staff will provide a history of and an update on the IDEM 319 Grant Program that they are currently administering to assist residents with conservation projects in the watershed.  The SWCD is also seeking public input on how the current program is going, current issues facing the watershed today, and suggestions for looking ahead to the next phase of the program.  Seeking public comment is integral to the design of our watershed programs.

The meeting will be held from 8:30-10:30 a.m. with free coffee and donuts provided.  Please call 765-659-1223 ext. 3 to RSVP, but walk-ins are welcome as well
