$\"\"$ Just after 2 p.m. Friday, the Indiana State Police responded to a crash on Interstate 65 northbound at the 179 mile-marker.<\/p>\n

A preliminary investigation by Trooper Clemans revealed that a 2001 Ford F-150 pulling a trailer was traveling northbound on Interstate 65 in the left lane. For an unknown reason, the F-150 left the east side of the roadway, went down an embankment, and rolled over. As a result of the crash, the driver and the passenger were both ejected from the vehicle.<\/p>\n

The driver was transported to a Lafayette area hospital by EMS and later succumbed to their injuries. The driver’s name is being withheld pending identification and notification to the family.<\/p>\n

The passenger of the vehicle was transported to a Lafayette area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n
