Baldwin was among more than 600 county officials and employees who attended the AICโ€™s 68th Annual Conference, held September 21โ€“24 in Allen County, Indiana. The conference provided professional development, educational programming and opportunities for county officials to discuss issues affecting local government across Indiana.

The AIC Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes officials who complete 240 hours of continuing education through the association. The AIC, a nonprofit organization established in 1957, provides training and technical assistance to county officials and employees, represents county interests before the Indiana General Assembly, and serves as a liaison between counties and state and federal agencies.

The annual conference also featured discussions of issues expected to affect county government in the coming year, including local funding, infrastructure, housing, artificial intelligence and county growth. Officials also discussed legislative priorities ahead of the 2027 session of the Indiana General Assembly.

Baldwinโ€™s award recognizes her commitment to professional education, while her election to the AIC Board of Directors adds a statewide leadership responsibility to her role as Boone County Treasurer.
