Theda June Dickerson, 94, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones at her home in Lebanon. She was born on May 10, 1931, in Hazelrigg, Indiana; a daughter of the late Jess Everett and Hazel Fern Nicley.

She graduated from Dover High School in 1949.

Theda married Arthur O. “Art” Dickerson on November 24, 1952, at Pleasant View Church; he survives. The two jointly managed Royal Cleaners and Laundry in Lebanon for many years, acquiring a fifty percent ownership in 1953 and later full ownership.

Theda was a member of New Brunswick Church. She participated in the church choir, taught Sunday school, and directed Vacation Bible School. Theda had a gift for sewing and would make clothing for her children. In her later years, she enjoyed solving word puzzles and coloring. Above all, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and cherished time with family.

Survivors include her husband, Art Dickerson; Cheryl (Terry) Hollingsworth, Melanie Dickerson, Linda (Tom) Wetherald, and Sally (David) Behrens all of Lebanon; grandchildren, Neil (Nikki) Hollingsworth, Marc (Jenny) Hollingsworth, Jennifer (Joel Gramlin) Behrens, Allison Behrens, Craig Wetherald, and Emily Behrens; and great grandsons, Cody, Levi, Luke, Cooper Hollingsworth and Creed Wetherald.

In addition to her parents, Theda was preceded in death by her brothers, Donald, James, Frank, and Loren Nicley and sisters, Lola Mae Phillippo, Ruth Stafford, and Thelma Wolfe.

Funeral Services are planned for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of services. Interment will follow services at Pleasant View Cemetery in Lebanon.
