The Frankfort Police Department released information on Monday regarding an incident involving a six-year-old who was struck by a vehicle.
The department stated that just before 4:45 p.m. on Monday, April 8, a six-year-old boy was reportedly struck by a vehicle in the area of Freeman Street and Fourth Street in Frankfort, and the boy was taken to a hospital in Indianapolis where he was reported to be in “serious condition” as of Monday evening.
“While today was a historic day and we had a lot of fun with our posts, we can’t end it without notifying you about a crash that occurred near Freeman and Fourth earlier,” the department released. “Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.”
The crash remains under investigation, and more information is expected to be released by the department in the near future. No further information has been released regarding the situation as of 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9.
