Charlie “Chazz” Preston Maheggon Pennington, II, 27, lovingly called “Good Time Charlie” by his grandpa, left this earth on Thursday, February 27, 2025. He was embraced by his grandma, Beverly, aunt, Lisa “Yaya”, and many friends who preceded him in death.
Charlie was the comic relief for his family and friends. He loved music. R&B and rap would blare through ear buds and you could hear him singing off-key. He enjoyed dribbling a basketball and watching basketball and WWE documentaries. His heart was always in the right place, constantly bringing home two and four legged strays. A true animal lover, he especially loved his cat, Frank. Charlie made time to watch cartoons with his niece, Bentlie. His endless love for his family and friends will have a lasting impact on their lives.
He leaves behind his parents, LeAnn and Craig Winningham; grandfather, LeRoy Malaterre; siblings, Alisa (Kichie) Malaterre, Sophie Winningham, Alan (Lauren) Winningham, Charlotte Murray, Gil (Tanya) Winningham; aunts, Juanita (Dan) Depuy, Bobette (Gary) Hardin; eight nieces and nephews; and many cousins.
The family will gather with friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana.
Boone County Crematory has been entrusted with his cremation arrangements.
