
Carolyn graduated from Lebanon High School and attended Indiana Business College. She worked at Witham Hospital as a Nurse’s Aide, Thorntown Textile Company and Kincaid Automotive in the office.
She was a devoted member of the Elizaville Baptist Church all her life. Carolyn loved sewing, quilting, cooking, and being with her family. She also enjoyed helping her husband on the farm and caring for the animals. Carolyn was a devoted wife and homemaker.
Survivors include her daughter, Karin Kay (Rob) Knox of Lebanon; son-in-law, Charles “Buster” Stockton of Lebanon; grandchildren, Charles Stockton, Jr. of Lafayette, Trisha (David) Black of Lebanon, Justin Knox of Thorntown, and Jessica Stockton of Thorntown; great grandchildren, Logan (Maddie) Black of Lebanon, Mason Black of Lebanon, and Jacob Taylor of Thorntown; great-great grandchild, Rhett Black of Lebanon; nephew, Jerry Lynn Neidlinger of Carmel; great niece, Jessica Neidlinger of Carmel; and great-great niece, Sierra Neidlinger of Carmel.
In addition to her parents and husband, Carolyn was preceded in death by two daughters, Sara Ann Smith and Suzette Smith Stockton and two sisters, Martha Neidlinger and Dartha Long.
Funeral Services are planned for 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 9, 2025, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street in Lebanon. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
