Mary Ellen Marcum, 83, of Frankfort, passed away July 20, 2025 at I.U. Health Arnett Hospital, Lafayette, IN. She was born May 10, 1942 in LaPorte, IN to Raymond Kenneth “Catfish” & Marion Grace (Wanmer) Robinson. She married R.H. Marcum Jr. on November 17, 1961 and he preceded her in death on April 5, 2025.
Mary Ellen attended Frankfort High School. She was a homemaker and had previously worked at the Cigar Factory, K-Mart, the Sewing Factory, Hills Department Store and Frito Lay. Mary Ellen enjoyed crafting, cooking, baking for and spending time with her family.
Mary Ellen is survived by daughters, Anna (Bill) Smith of Frankfort, Kim Marcum of Thorntown and Tracy Marcum Dillon of Lebanon, brothers, Robert Robinson of Lebanon, Henry Robinson of Frankfort, grandchildren, Eric (Carly) Smith, Dylan Smith, Heaven Spencer, Tyler Dillon, Tevin Dillon, Taleigha Dillon and 5 great-grandchildren, Oma Mary-Sue Spencer, Bryar James Clyde Spencer, Mercy Smith, Carter Smith and Jalen Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Visitation will be 12-2 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2025 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
