At approximately 8:30 p.m. on Monday evening (10/14/2025), officers with the
Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department (WMPD) conducted a traffic stop on
southbound I-65 near the 131-mile marker. The vehicle, a black Chevrolet sedan, was driven
by Tionia Britany Miles (36), of Indianapolis, Indiana.
During the stop, officers detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the
vehicle, which led to a probable cause search. Upon searching the trunk, officers located a
black duffel bag containing ten large, silver-wrapped packages. Field testing confirmed the contents to be cocaine, with a total weight of approximately 24.5 pounds. The estimated
street value of the narcotics is approximately $176,000.
Tionia Miles was taken into custody at the scene and transported to the Boone County Jail
pending preliminary charges of Dealing in Cocaine (Level 2 Felony).
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department remains committed to combating
drug trafficking and keeping dangerous substances off our roadways and out of our
communities. In light of the ongoing drug epidemic affecting Indiana and the nation, WMPD
takes pride in intercepting this significant quantity of narcotics before it could contribute to
further harm.
