Crossing Student In Intensive Care Lifted Up With Cinnamon Roll Fundraiser

A local family connected with The Crossing alternative school program is being lifted up by friends and neighbors this month, thanks to a cinnamon roll fundraiser organized to help them shoulder the costs of a medical crisis.

According to the organizers, Noah, a student at The Crossing School in Clinton County, was recently involved in a very serious car accident and has remained in critical condition since the crash. His family has effectively been living in “hospital mode,” making frequent trips to Indianapolis and bearing the emotional and financial weight that comes with having a child in the hospital.

Fundraiser details
To provide tangible support, Melia’s Velvet Oven is hosting a cinnamon roll fundraiser, with all proceeds going to Noah’s family.  Orders must be placed by December 29, with pickup set for December 31; cinnamon rolls are priced at 4 for 10 dollars or 12 for 24 dollars.

How to participate
Community members who wish to help are invited to place an order by commenting on the original Melia’s Velvet Oven Facebook social media post promoting the fundraiser, where organizers will then add each person to the list. Every order, they note, eases some of the family’s financial strain and reminds them that they are not walking through this season alone.

Organizers express gratitude
The family behind Melia’s Velvet Oven shared their appreciation for the outpouring of compassion from the community as word of the fundraiser spreads. They emphasized that showing up in this simple but meaningful way for Noah and his family “truly means more than you know.”
