The City of West Lafayette expects a significant winter storm that may bring 4-6 inches of snow accumulation. The storm is expected to impact travel, making it very difficult to drive, extreme caution should be taken.
Per City Ordinance, when there is an accumulation of two or more inches of snow or ice, a snow emergency is declared to ensure emergency routes are accessible. All vehicles, trailers, and equipment parked on all emergency snow routes must be removed by the owner until the road has been cleared. A snow emergency has been declared and is in effect.
Property owners and occupants are reminded that, per City Code Sec. 34-1 snow and ice must be cleared from sidewalks adjacent to their property within six (6) hours after daylight and after snowfall has stopped.
