JoAnne Fisher

JoAnne Fisher, 64, passed away Monday, April 27, 2026, at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis after a long illness. She was born February 9, 1962, to the late Phillip “Tuffy” Hoffman, Jr. and Barbara Ann (Salsman) Hoffman.

From a young age, JoAnne developed a strong work ethic while helping her parents with their concession business. She carried that dedication throughout her life. JoAnne lived in Tennessee for many years, where she worked as a medical office manager and held various clerical positions.

JoAnne met the love of her life, William “Dale” Fisher, and they were married on July 15, 2000. Together they built a life centered around family, love, and laughter. Their son, Joseph William Fisher, was truly her pride and joy.

Later in life, JoAnne and Dale returned to Lebanon before settling in Jamestown. There, she continued her clerical work and remained involved in helping her brother and sister with their concession stand businesses.

JoAnne had a deep love for the outdoors and found joy in tending to her flowers. She was known for her generous spirit, always ready to lend a helping hand. She also loved music, karaoke, and could often be found joyfully keeping rhythm with her tambourine. JoAnne was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dale Fisher of Jamestown; son, Joseph William Fisher of Jamestown; sister, Jean Hoffman of Lebanon; nieces, Melissa (Wall) Berry, Courtney (Hoffman) Miller, Christy Hoffman, and Genie Padell Brewer; nephews, Phillip Wall and Angelo Contini, Jr.; as well as many great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family members.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John “Tuffy” Hoffman and James Kremer, and her sister, Janet (Hoffman) Wall.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Cremation will follow services.
