Community Schools of Frankfort is proud to announce Rebecca Cesare, Art & Design Teacher at Frankfort High School, as the 2026 District Teacher of the Year.
For the past 30 years, Mrs. Cesare has inspired generations of students through her passion for art, creativity, and education. Throughout her career, she has done far more than teach artistic techniques — she has helped students discover confidence in themselves and their abilities.
Many of Mrs. Cesare’s former students have gone on to pursue college degrees and careers in art, photography, graphic design, and other creative fields, a testament to the lasting impact she has had both inside and outside the classroom.
Reflecting on her career, Mrs. Cesare shared, “The greatest reward has been watching students discover confidence in themselves through creativity. At the end of the day, the real reward is knowing you helped a student see possibilities in themselves they may not have seen before.”
Her dedication, compassion, and commitment to students and families continue to make a meaningful difference throughout the Frankfort community. Colleagues, students, and parents alike recognize Mrs. Cesare for the encouragement and inspiration she brings to the classroom every day.
